TEL AVIV - JERUSALEM

After breakfast meet the guide and start your visit of Tel Aviv.

 

We will start visiting the Carmel Market for experiencing a true harmony of tastes and smells.

 

Then walking along Rothschild Boulevard, part of Tel Aviv’s White City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will pass through the Bahaus Neighborhood and we will arrive to the Independence Hall, where David Ben Gurion announced the birth of the State of Israel.

Next we will visit the OldPort and the City of Jaffa (Yaffo), just south of Tel Aviv for tour and a scenic panoramic view of Tel Aviv. Have an authentic lunch at Dr. Shakshuka restaurant, where tasty and delicious North African Jewish food is served. 

 

Free time to explore Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv’s “hip” neighborhood, where the intellectual elite lived during Israel’s early days.

In the early evening we will say Lehitraot (goodbye) to Tel Aviv and we will drive east to the Holiest city in the world: Jerusalem.

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the city, starting with the spectacular, almost magical, panoramic view from the top of the Mount of Olives, which allows you to have a look at the interior of Jerusalem's architectural complex.

 

In a short time you reach the Church of Nations and the garden of Gethsemane.

 

You return to the old city and through the Arab bazaar, take the Via Crucis (Via Dolorosa) until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the holiest place in Christianity, with its various chapels.

 

Free lunch.

 

Excursion to Bethlehem follows, visit to the Basilica of the Nativity, built in the place where the cave where Jesus was born was present.

 

Free dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM - ITALY

 

After breakfast at the hotel,flight schedule permitting we will walkthrough thenarrow streetsof Machane Yehuda Market - Israeli Shook, to enjoy the colors, scents and unique atmosphere of this market, where you can taste local products. Or instead we can visit the "Yad Vashem" Holocaust memorial.

 

4 hours before the departure we will leave Jerusalem for the "Ben Gurion" airport for the return flight to Italy.

 

* Option on request in advance and in addition (min 10 pax and situation permitting): Guided visit in the morning of the esplanade of the Mosques, also called Temple Mount. There are two structures there: the Dome of the Rock, sacred to both religions. In fact, for Muslims from that rock Muhammad would have ascended to heaven, while for the Jewish religion, Abraham would have been about to sacrifice his son Isaac on that same stone. The second building is the Al-Aqsa Mosque (access for non-Muslims and tourists is not allowed inside either site).
